Permissions & Data Access
Calendar Invite only requests the permissions it needs to build a calendar file from job bookings and email it to a customer. It stores no data of its own.
The permissions below match the OAuth scopes requested during activation. They let Calendar Invite read the job, its scheduled bookings, contacts, staff and templates, create a .ics attachment on the job, and send an email through ServiceM8.
- Vendor — read your business timezone for correct local times in the email and .ics file.
- Read jobs — load the job number, address and description.
- Read schedule — load scheduled job activities (bookings) for the job.
- Read staff — show staff names on visits and in Staff CC.
- Read job contacts — show job, billing and property manager contacts for email chips.
- Read customers — resolve company details shown on the job.
- Read job checklists — optional checklist lines in the calendar description picker.
- Manage templates — list email templates in the composer.
- Publish email — send the email through ServiceM8 with your chosen To/CC and attachment.
- Manage job attachments — create the .ics on the job and attach it to the outgoing email.
Calendar Invite does not send data to third parties outside ServiceM8 for this workflow. It reads job, schedule, contact, checklist, staff and template data needed to build the invite, writes a .ics attachment to the job, and sends email through ServiceM8 when you click Send.
