Permissions & Data Access

Plan Pad only requests the permissions it needs to open from a job and save your plan back to it. No data leaves your ServiceM8 account beyond what is required to run the add-on.

The permissions below match the OAuth scopes requested during activation. They let Plan Pad read the job it was opened from, store your plan, and attach the saved image to that job.

  • Jobs — open the job you launched Plan Pad from.
  • Attachments — save the finished plan as a JPEG attachment to the job.
  • Add-on storage — store your plan and settings against the job (storage key drawing-v1).
  • Staff notes — add a note to the job diary when a plan is saved.

Plan Pad does not access your full client list, financial data, or jobs you have not opened it from. Permissions are scoped to the job in context.
